We had a great Halloween, hope you did too!

I'm bringing Etsy back...

I decided that I miss my spending money, so I am adding a few items back into my etsy shop!

pink and brown is always a good thing

I seem to love pink and brown together! and I especially love them together in baby quilts!

I made this quick and easy quilt a few weeks ago using some of my beloved Flea Market Fancy pink fabrics. I hear that this line is being re-released soon so I feel that it is finally okay to use some of my most-loved, most-hoarded fabric!

I quilted random wonky lines over the whole quilt and I love it!

ahhhh pink and brown you have made me happy yet again!

The Sewing Summit

Last weekend I had the very fun experience of attending 'The Sewing Summit" it was GREAT!

I was so lucky that it was held in downtown SLC so I could just drive down!

It was a great time- I attended with my trusty partner in all things crafty, Shannon!

we loved it!

We shopped- and met some great ladies while we went to our favorite shops!

We sewed- a LOT!

as you can see I will be sticking with my usual straight line quilting since I stink at free motion quilting- yikes!

I had such a great time- I learned some new techniques, tried some different things, met a TON of great people, laughed a LOT and enjoyed every minute!

Quilt Making Attention Defecit Disorder~

I start a project, I'm all into it, plugging along, nearly finished and I lose interest in it..

or I see something somewhere that looks fun and I just have to try it out and the previously started project gets pushed aside!

I was plugging along on this one-

I love it, only one print and a whole bunch of yummy solids in blues and greens- all I have left to do is add the borders and the whole top would be done...

but I keep seeing all these cool starburst blocks online and I just had to make a few-

so the cute little 'blues' quilt has been tossed aside!

One of our favorite Summer treats

During the Summer my nearly 12 yr. old girl and I love to go out for frozen yogurt,

there is a fun place close to our house where we like to go.

She likes everything chocolate on hers- and I mean everything!

I usually get the same every time- tart yogurt with fruit!

Yummy!!

Summer is such a great time of year, I love the slower pace.

Summer is a good time to craft, I have been sewing, quilting and even doing a little bit of scrapbooking!
