meet JANE...

a NEW style of purse in my shop...

JANE!!!

but be warned, Jane is not Plain!!

rediscovered...

so in the past few months I've rediscovered my love of...

QUILTING!!!

It's all I want to do!!! I just love fabric, and there's something so therapeutic about cutting fabric up, and then sewing it into something fun!! I've needed a distraction from motherhood and sewing for fun has filled the need.

some of my projects-

Flea Market Fancy fabric...

this is my ALL-Time favorite fabric line, it is sadly out of production, and very hard to find. I have been sitting on this collection for a while now.

I recently made me a quilt out of it and now I've decided to sell some of this gorgeousness in my Etsy shop!!

I have listed a few sets of 6 inch squares

they are so fun!!

I also have a whole bolt of the pink, red, and brown dot ;)

feel free to contact me if you need some!!

a NEW adventure...

today, a NEW adventure begins for me, I became a Stampin' UP Demonstrator! http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/default.asp

Because, apparently one can NEVER have toooooo many stamps, ink, paper, punches etc. etc. ;)

I conquered my fear...

of ZIPPERS today!!!

one of my new year's resolutions was to finally figure out how to sew a zipper, they have scared me ever since 8th grade sewing class when Mrs. Be-otch made me sew one and then gave me a D!!!!
I HATED sewing back then, it's funny that my job is SEWING!

If only that teacher could see me now! :)

so, here are the first of several zippy pouches for my Etsy shop-

I have had sooooo many requests for these!
watch for more each day!

2 new purses...

I sewed up 2 new "Dottie" style bags for my Etsy shop!

The top one is Charcoal Grey with a print by Amy Butler, the bottom one is Black and has a strip of B&W houndstooth.

this says it all...

I saw this on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/sreichenbach/3029882945/

and had to add it to my blog.

Such a GREAT day!!!!!!

Knitting Tote bags

I made these for my sisters and my mom for Christmas a few years ago and they love them, so I decided to make up a few for the old Etsy shop-

I can do them in any color, or they can say something different!

BIRDY tote bags

I made up 3 fun, inexpensive tote bags today and listed them in my Etsy shop!
Under 20.00 too ;)

check them out!!

Next up - KNITTING bags :)

giraffe print handbags

I see them everywhere i go - giraffe print handbags and purses!

I love them!

I have been on the look-out for a GREAT giraffe print fabric to make some bags. I finally found it!!

these are made from a heavy canvas- they are thick and sturdy!

and very stylish!! ;)

lillies or daisies??

that is the question!

do you like lillies better or Daisies??

this is my POLLY bag in 2 new prints!!

I blame it on Shannon...

My dear, sweet friend Shannon http://shan-itsmylife.blogspot.com/
is completely to blame for my latest addiction, (she's actually to blame for several of my addictions, but I love her, so I forgive her!)

I am hopelessly addicted to this:

This addiction began innocently enough when Shanny borrowed me her Dexter season 1 dvd- I became completely drawn into this quirky, crazy, warped show!! I cannot wait until Season 2 comes out on Tuesday!!!

Thanks Shanny! ;)

happiness...

seeing my bag mentioned here makes me very happy!!!

very fun!!!!

I always wanted a VESPA scooter...

I see people zipping around on their cool scooters and I get soo jealous- I would LOVE one!! sadly, it is not practical for hauling 4 kids to their many destinations. BUT, I did find fabric that has the CUTEST vespa looking scooters, with stripes and dots, oh my!!!

Polly bag

I love this new bag-

I call her the "Polly" bag!!

I think I will make one for myself!!

P.S. Doesn't the top one look like American Crafts patterned paper??

so much fabric, so little time

life gets so busy some times-

all I want to do is make new bags!!

here are some recent one:

bring on FALL!!!

It's been a LOT cooler here the last 2 days, and it's made me wish for fall!

I love fall- the cooler weather, the pretty fall colors, ahhhh~

so here are 2 Fall bags...

2 more...

2 more birdie bags

the BIRDIE bag

I made this cute bag today using the darling velvet iron-on bird by SEI.

it turned out so cute-

watch for others ;)
