Zig Zag quilt

I finally finished my Zig-Zag quilt- I really like how it turned out!
I'm not usually a fan of all solids, but this was a fun change!

I picked it up from the quilter and now I'm giving it a binding!'

p.s.- beware of the quilt guard dog- he is ferocious! :)

fun little projects

it's time for my 'winter sport'...

that's what my husband calls my knitting and crocheting-
My 'winter sport'! he is right- as soon as the weather turns cold I crave yarn!

I've finally cut into my precious 'Munki Munki' stash and have had such fun making little quilt blocks!

the butterfly bag is a new pleated style that I made, I call her 'LOLA'

the other is a 'POLLY' bag with a fun flower pin accent!!

String Quilt

this is my String Quilt, or as I like to call it, "My Rainy Day Quilt".

I have been working on this one for several weeks, during all the rainy days here. This has been the rainiest Spring/Early Summer here in Utah that I can EVER remember!! This has been the perfect project to pass the rainy hours!

I think this quilt will be a favorite, I just love the scrappy feel it has!

I got my Flea Market Fancy coin quilt back from the quilter yesterday and I love how it turned out! I will be binding it this weekend!

I started a fun new 'string' quilt project and have been working on these scrappy blocks:

I love this Japanese Import fabric, it is the yummiest blend of cotton and lined and it features scooters, dots and stripes.

new bags for Spring...

I decided to make another new bag style to celebrate SPRING!!
It is Spring, right? I think Mother Nature is MAD about something this year.
I would love to see the sun, flowers, and such but sadly it's been cold, windy and rainy around here. So, I pulled out some bright, happy fabric and made some Spring-y bags!!

so in the past few months I've rediscovered my love of...

QUILTING!!!

It's all I want to do!!! I just love fabric, and there's something so therapeutic about cutting fabric up, and then sewing it into something fun!! I've needed a distraction from motherhood and sewing for fun has filled the need.

Flea Market Fancy fabric...

this is my ALL-Time favorite fabric line, it is sadly out of production, and very hard to find. I have been sitting on this collection for a while now.

I recently made me a quilt out of it and now I've decided to sell some of this gorgeousness in my Etsy shop!!

they are so fun!!

a NEW adventure...

today, a NEW adventure begins for me, I became a Stampin' UP Demonstrator! http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/default.asp

Because, apparently one can NEVER have toooooo many stamps, ink, paper, punches etc. etc. ;)

I conquered my fear...

of ZIPPERS today!!!

one of my new year's resolutions was to finally figure out how to sew a zipper, they have scared me ever since 8th grade sewing class when Mrs. Be-otch made me sew one and then gave me a D!!!!
I HATED sewing back then, it's funny that my job is SEWING!

If only that teacher could see me now! :)
